I do not wish to put you out of your own dwelling on a whim. If this happens again, perhaps I will take Jill and myself elsewhere.

Also, I hope you know this is not a conversation I ever expected to have with my brother. Or anyone, really.

Evening walks are hardly an inconvenience.
Rather, I relish the opportunity, as does Torgal.

You need not feel embarrassed. The both of you have been making besotted eyes at one another for how long now?

[ Even if his hearing had completely diminished, he'd still know the morning after just from looking at them –which is more or less how he'd figured it out back in their world. ]

I will hardly tell you what to do, but if the opportunity presents itself for you and Torgal to get a breath of fresh air...

He has been growing a little restless spending so much time indoors.
It would do him some good.
And it would do you some good as well.

I have been meaning to explore the city further beyond its libraries and book shops anyway.

He is used to being outside most of the day. It wouldn't do to keep him cooped up too long.

Have the libraries and book shops been to your liking?

They have been replete with books about the flora and fauna of this region among other local delights.

There are also lots of dramatic texts should you find yourself in need of a different kind of stimulation from time to time.

[ He knows Clive is a closet nerd so he might just buy some for him anyway. ]

I might have to take a look for myself. Gain a better understanding of this place.

I don't remember the last time I was able to read a book in full for pleasure.

With no path back home for the foreseeable future, it would seem we have earned ourselves a much-needed respite.
You may as well find a peaceful spot to indulge, or will I have to physically drag you out of your room
next time I visit the book shop?

[ He may need some extra help on that front as he's sure Clive has more strength in one arm than Joshua has in his whole body, but one look™ from Jill ought to do the trick. ]

I will try. It does not sit easy with me to do so while many we love still toil under Ultima's designs.

But there will be no dragging necessary, I assure you.

A worry I too would share had I not been told that
time in our world moves differently than it does here.
Many others have returned to their home worlds briefly to find themselves
in the exact spot they were when they had first been spirited away.

I can't say it puts me entirely at ease, but it does grant me enough peace of mind to indulge in some leisure activities I otherwise wouldn't in our world.

A nap, for instance...how long has it been since either of us have purposely taken one?

I found a nice bench at the park that is ideal.

I am pleased you would afford Jill that much courtesy.
Otherwise, I would think some additional educating on courtship would be in order.

I dare not imply anything that would debase Lady Warrick's good nature. Though I do count myself lucky she willingly accepts my company.

Yes, that would make the outlaw infinitely more intimidating by challenging the perceptions of all who come across him.
The visage of a hulking, rugged man, caked in sweat, grime, and the blood of his enemies, yet fashioning a tongue made of silk.

It would certainly raise my hackles.

Well. Nobody's perfect, as they say. I fear my tongue has grown far too coarse with such use.

[ I doubt Jill has much reason to complai– Nope. Nope. Deleting that right now. He doesn't want Clive to never speak to him again nor does he want to picture it. This teasing has gone far enough. He's taking Torgal for a long walk anyway. ]
